The Riversdale area has been undergoing some rejuvenation recently and there’s an exciting new condo and commercial project underway. The Banks project, constructed by the Le Fevre Group, is offering affordable, quality constructed residential condominiums as well as commercial space in the River Landing area – also known as Parcel A. There will be 160 residential condos offered in 4 creative buildings available in configurations of studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and townhomes starting at under $200,000. The ground floor will be host to 10 commercial spaces and flow into the Farmer’s Market and internal courtyards on the property.
The Le Fevre Group is owned by Chris Le Fevre, a developer from B.C., and is known for it’s inner city renewal developments in Victoria as well as numerous creative developments on Vancouver Island and more recently in Tofino, B.C. The group’s website describes them as “Winners of numerous awards, Le Fevre and Company re-constitutes century-old buildings into innovative living and working spaces and also creates new, modern, eye-catching, “green” buildings as the world adapts to the reality of the “global village”.” Sounds intriguing and something that will fit perfectly into the urban renewal plan of the Riversdale/River Landing area.
Construction is set to commence in March 2014 with possessions beginning in late 2016.
